Handing out 10,000 seed packets, over 500 young performers from the National Youth Theatre swarmed across London in August presenting a series of outdoor theatre productions at iconic London landmarks, from Battersea to Canary Wharf, to raise awareness about the plight of the honeybee.
The initiative is the centerpiece of the S'warm campaign which includes a £400,000 environmental fund to support ideas to create or enhance 650 acres of flowering meadows.
Londoners are being asked to play their part in saving the capital's dwindling bee population by planting 150,000 new plants in gardens.
The campaign is a joint initiative from the National Youth Theatre, The Peter De Haan Charitable Trust and IdeasTap.
