Ditch takes place in the near future as much of the country is underwater and the government has been reduced to a group of fascist strongmen. Written by Beth Steel, and produced as a world premiere for the High Tide Festival, Ditch transferred to The Old Vic Tunnels as the first of The Old Vic major productions in the new space.
In a rural outpost of the state, men and woman struggle to build a community, and to retain a semblance of civility in the face of the encroaching wilderness and the inevitable onset of global war.
