Auntie Janet Saves the Planet, an interactive opera specially created for pre-school, P2 pupils, follows the plight of several species of animals currently listed as endangered in south-west Scotland.
Through live performance, film animation and puppetry, four singer / actors take the young audience, who participate as a group of voles forced from their homes by gigantic bulldozers, on a magical journey under the sea and into the treetops to help the Song Thrush.
Created in partnership with North Ayrshire Council, Auntie Janet Saves the Planet was first presented in Spring 2002. Scottish Opera For All presented further performances throughout central Scotland in spring 2005.
