Green Light in the Community Green Light Trust increased the amount of Suffolk woodland with its local initiative Forest for Our Children.Linked with the rainforest of the Hunstein Range, Forest for Our Children was a powerful way for children and adults alike to learn through positive action. Pupils from local schools collected and planted acorns, then later transplanted their saplings and tended their own growing forest. Green Light offered storytelling and illustrated talks on Forest for Our Children and the Papua New Guinea Rainforest. Green Light Overseas Green Light's projects with the people of the Hunstein Range in Papua New Guinea have included two environmental dramas which toured by dugout canoe, visits by forest landowners to areas already logged and the publishing of a pre-school book depicting the forest's riches. Today, the Hunstein Range is still standing. An environmental programme for schools has been developed which will benefit children throughout Papua New Guinea. Organisations in Malaysia, Singapore, and Sierra Leone have used these environmental drama programmes to support their own work.
