Vision
Tiebreak, a theatre company working for young audiences, created quality, issue-based theatre which reflected the needs and concerns of young people.

Tiebreak made its work accessible to a broad cross-section of the community and regularly toured to isolated rural areas where young people may have limited access to live theatre.

Tiebreak established high standards of writing though its commitment to commissioning new scripts from professional writers. The company also undertook commissions and produced plays and projects for organisations such as BBC Radio 4, Forest Enterprise, Norfolk Museum Service, the Natural History Museum and Norfolk Health. Issues covered included the environment, conservation, living history, health education and disability.

Where else would you find... a hut on chicken's legs, a fox that cures fever and a fur coat that drinks soup? Where else but in One Dark Night, when three storytellers gather beneath the stars to perform fabulous feats of the imagination.
This collection of traditional stories and world music serves to remind us of the diversity and mystery of our very own astonishing world.
Suitable for 7-12 year olds and family audiences - for schools and theatres.

Written and directed by David Farmer.
