  Brith Gof was part of a distinct and European tradition in the contemporary performing arts - visual, physical, amplified, poetic and highly designed.

Brith Gof's works dealt with issues such as the nature of place and its relation with identity, and the presence of the past in strategies of cultural resistance and community construction. The company worked at all scales, from small solo works of storytelling to large epic works staged in locations such as disused factories, sand quarries, ice hockey stadiums, railway stations, abandoned farmhouses and even deep in the forest.

Founded in 1981 by Mike Pearson and Michael Shanks.

PAX is a reflection on the state of the planet in 10 movements.

Staged in St. David's Hall in Cardiff, the Harland and Wolff shipbuilding yard in Glasgow and the British Rail Station in Aberystwyth, PAX is described by the Guardianas a 'heady mix of grand opera, performance art, physical theatre, symphonic rock, scenography and, crucially, a forceful green message'.

Set in a 'ghost cathedral' of scaffolding, angels fly down to Earth where they struggle to understand the toxic atmosphere humans have created.
Could angels survive in the present environmental conditions?
Would we know them if we saw them?
