The Man from the Council is about fuels, pollution, the greenhouse effect, energy efficiency and climate change. Pupils are encouraged to believe they are watching a serious presentation from an 'expert' from the council. But as his talk continues, his attempts to be serious are undermined by an anarchic assistant.
At the end of the show, pupils are asked to recall all the information in the show by helping a volunteer remember things that they are shown on a conveyor belt. The Man from the Council is a show for secondary schools, and is accompanied by a Teacher's Pack.
