13 September 2013

Up to 3,000 people marched through London alongside a giant polar bear for Greenpeace's Save The Arctic campaign. The polar bear, called Aurora, required 15 puppeteers and 20 volunteers to animate it through the streets of London. Aurora's fur, made of ragged fabric, carries the names of more than three million supporters.

Protesters marched down Lambeth Palace Road towards Shell headquarters, on Belvedere Road, to call for a ban on oil and gas drilling in the Arctic. London was one of 70 cities worldwide holding a day of action.
